Joe Clemente is in his 13th year of his coaching and training career. He has helped hundreds of players fulfill their dream of playing College baseball and has helped many make it to the major leagues.
Joe attended and played for Don Bosco HS in his freshman and sophomore years before transferring to Elizabeth HS where he went on to become a Two Time Two Sport All State Selection. He was also selected as the Governor Cup Winner for the State of New Jersey.
Joe’s college career began in Mississippi State where he was awarded an athletic scholarship to play both baseball & football. During his sophomore year he sustained an injury. Upon recovery Joe accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of Maryland College Park where he received his Bachelors Degree and was inducted into the Terrapin Sports Award Club of Maryland University.
Upon graduating (1997) Joe set out to play professional ball for the Detroit Tigers Organization. When asked to manage the Pro Team in Codogno, Italy (2000) Joe accepted the position. His team won the Italian World Series making Joe the youngest manager to ever win the covenant prize. Joe was named the A2 Italian Manager of the Year. With this victory under his belt Joe has been a part of four National Titles as both a player and a coach along with a World Series Title (Italy) as a Manager.
When Joe returned home he began training and coaching in New Jersey & New York. He is the owner and operator of Clemente’s Baseball & Softball Academy in Chestnut Ridge, NY. Joe lives in New City with his wife Franny and their three children Joey, Tony & Donna.
